Charu Pragya is a lawyer-politician who heads the National Legal Cell of the
BJP's Youth Wing. She is also a National TV Panelist for BJP and she speaks on
issues relating to governance, policy, local civic issues, education and social-rural
programs.
A passionate social reformer, Ms Pragya is a crusader for women’s rights and runs
free legal aid centers for women across India. Her work has helped build a network
of lawyers who provide free of cost legal assistance to those in need. With her roots
in rural Uttar Pradesh and her feet in urban New Delhi, she works to bridge the
social justice gap between rural and urban India.
She also organises training workshops & legal awareness camps for women and
youth across the country.
She has an interest in Environment, Sustainable Development, Education & Agri-
Tech and is engaged with various social entrepreneurship initiatives, specially for
women.
She holds BLS-LLB degree from Government Law College, University of Mumbai.
Charu is a Fellow of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung School for Young Politicians,
Alumni of Australia-India Youth Dialogue and has completed the Oxford
Innovation Leadership in Public Policy course. She represented India at the
Madrid Forum on Democracy where 35 nations were represented and has
presented a lecture at the Election Bridge Conference in Myanmar (Asia-Pacific).
She is on the Governing Body of Ramanujan College, University of Delhi, a panel
member of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has won medals at both
the International & National Level in Pistol Shooting.
In her free time, she loves traveling and exploring new places and cultures,
reading, writing and working to make our planet a little bit more green.
