Ajay Suri has been a media person for over 25 years now, and as would be expected, have worn different hats all this while. He started out as a political journalist with The Indian Express, New Delhi, and after some 10 years there, joined television. ABP News and NewsX are the two channels where I tried to come to grips with the nuts and bolts of television. These two channels also gave me an opportunity to learnt the roped of documentary film-making. For the past 12 years, he has been making films on environment and wildlife and these have been broadcast on various platforms, including the National Geographi Channel (NGC) and the Doordarshan. One of the documentaries, A Tiger’s Heart, aired on NGC also got me the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Environment Reporting. His write-ups on environment and wildlife appear regularly in Firstpost, The Print and several other publications.
