Manish Sisodia is the deputy chief minister of Delhi since February 2015. Earlier, he was a journalist who played active role in social activism. Manish Sisodia was also instrumental in the 2011 popular movement for a Jan Lokpal Bill.
Manish Sisodia became a member of the Political Affairs Committee of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in 2012, since the establishment. The former member of AAP’s National Executive Committee, was elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly in the Delhi Assembly Election, December, 2013. After he was appointed as a cabinet minister, he took the charge of education, PWD and urban development between 2013 and 2014.
Manish Sisodia, presently, holds several departments under Delhi government, such as Education, Information Technology, Technical Education, Finance and Planning, Revenue, Services, Power, Administrative Reforms, among others.
