Ravi Rai has been a household name more as a writer, than a producer director in the world of television and films. His famous works on television, written, produced and directed by him include ‘Sailaab’, ‘Thoda hai thode Ki zaroorat hai’ ‘Teacher’ and ‘Sparsh’. Ravi Rai has authored his first book "THE TATTOO ON MY BREAST" published by Bloomsbury, the creators of Harry Potter with J.K. Rowling.
‘THE TATTOO ON MY BREAST’ is a love story set in Sukkur, a small town in the Sindh province between the 17 year old Sadhana, the grand daughter of a wealthy Sindhi merchant and Rehman, the meek boy next door.
Commencing during the termination of the World War II and the onset of the ‘Quit India Movement’ in 1942, this vulnerable love fable of separation voyages through 1947, the partition of India, when the country was amputed, maps were modified and the hearts were demolished by the haughty Jinnah and Nehru, who regardless still continued relishing the most costly Cuban Cigars, the most expensive wines with Caviars and the most beautiful women.
This epic love saga is revisited through Abella Alejandro, the 23 year old Spanish Human Right Aids while visiting Lamjung, Nepal during the 2015 earthquake with the International Red Cross. Continuing her Human Aid, in 2017 for the Rohingyas in the Tula Toli village in Rakhine, Burma. Abella realizes that she is none other, but a reincarnation of Sadhana. She sets out to hunt for her Rehman in the now Islamic State of Pakistan.
